Attach Multiple Reports to One Email
Cognos allows you to send one report per e-mail. Is there a technique to add multiple reports to one e-mail? You can use Event Studio to accomplish this:
- Open Event Studio.
- In the top left, under 'I want to...' select 'Add a task'. Select Run a report.
- Select the report to run and make sure you select the proper prompt values (if needed). Under Options, click on set.
- Check the Override the Default values.
- Select the format you want to render the report. On the Delivery options, make sure you check the option 'Enable attachment of the report in email task.
- Repeat steps 2 to 6 for each report you want to send by e-mail.
- When all reports have been added, add a task 'Send an email'.
- Enter the recipients. Below the email body on the right, click on the option 'Attach'. You will see all the reports, click one by one to add them to the email.
- Schedule the event to run at the desired times.
