Deploying Predictive ROI-based Analytics to Reduce Voluntary Employee Attrition

October 4, 2018 | 4:15 pm – 5:00 pm

Chris Engstrom Director, Data Science Practice, eCapital Advisors

Most executives would agree that employees are their organization’s most valuable asset. Unfortunately, few organizations take the time to calculate the true Cost of Attrition (COA). Research suggests that the COA can be as much as 1.5-2 times an employee’s salary. But, as part of a powerful Employee Lifecycle Predictive Analytics Framework, predictive modeling can be applied to identify which high-impact employees are most at risk BEFORE they leave your organization. At this session, you’ll learn how model results can be applied at the individual level to enable custom interventions to retain at-risk employees. Hear how this enables you to marginally reduce voluntary employee attrition and provide a measurable ROI based on COA.

Shayan Ashtiani TM1/Planning Analytics Consultant, eCapital Advisors

This project not only took what they were already doing in Enterprise Planning, but the team also build major enhancements and re-engineered several processes to be more efficient and user-friendly. This project serves as a testament to what can be done with a robust planning and analytics tool and will serve as a major success story in the Higher Education space.
