Title:  Oracle BI Lead Consultant

Location:  Edina, MN or Other Location in the Midwest

Position Overview:

eCapital Advisors is a management consulting firm experienced in leading mid-market and Fortune 500 companies to higher levels of performance.  We help companies define, plan, design and successfully integrate the world’s premier business performance technologies with processes at every level of the enterprise.  We partner with Hyperion, an Oracle Company and Cognos, an IBM Company to offer enterprise performance management solutions to aide in business analytics, business intelligence, planning and financial reporting.  This opportunity is for an Oracle OBIEE Lead Consultant working primarily in the upper Midwest.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and define business requirements by interacting with project stakeholders
• Provide product or applications recommendations based on business requirements
• Lead or assist with application, report, data model and warehouse design
• Mentor/Lead OBI developers throughout project lifecycle
• Contribute or lead solution build, test, and deployment activities
• Troubleshoot and support solutions after Go-Live
• Candidate will be expected to be involved in the full lifecycle of BI implementations
• Contribute to the development and growth of eCapital Advisor’s BI practice by contributing through leadership, teaching, publishing training content, mentoring junior consultants and providing assistance to our sales and marketing teams
• Prepare the appropriate end-user and technical documentation
• Position requires travel (approximately 25% to 50%)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, IS, Computer Science or Finance
• 5+ years working experience in Information Technology or Finance
• Desire to work in new environments with new people and new business challenges
• Strong interpersonal skills, capability to mitigate conflicts and find solutions, strong desire to drive value for every client
• Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment or in a solo capacity
• Minimum 4-7 years experience with the Oracle BI suite of products (OBIEE) or BI Applications (OBIA)
• Strong SQL writing abilities
• Must possess a strong desire to work hands-on developing data warehousing, reporting and performance management solutions across a range of industries and functional disciplines
• Problem solving skills combined with excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting concepts will be beneficial and experience integrating with Hyperion Essbase is a plus
