Title: Entry Level Technology Consultant
Overview:eCapital Advisors is a fast-growing management consulting firm experienced in leading mid-market and Fortune 500 companies to higher levels of performance. We are searching for energetic consultants to join our small consulting team. We have approximately 150 clients in the upper Midwest and offer our consultants exposure to learn about a variety of different industries. eCapital helps companies define, plan, design and successfully integrate the world’s premier business performance technologies with processes at every level of the enterprise. We partner with Cognos, an IBM Company, Hyperion, an Oracle Company and Microsoft to offer enterprise performance planning and business intelligence software to aide in budgeting, forecasting, and overall business performance management. This opportunity is for an entry level technology consultant working primarily in the upper Midwest. eCapital Advisors offers competitive compensation including base salary and bonus potential in addition to a generous benefits package including a retirement savings program. On-the-job training with system applications will be provided. The majority of consultants will have travel opportunities based on job assignments and/or the need for vendor sponsored training courses.
Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans and provide project management with project status and feedback.
- Participate in the design and/or development of Performance Management Solutions.
- Work with the finance department and eCapital resources to build financial models and reports.
- Identify the interfaces with existing G/L, ERP, and other source systems.
- Self-starter with ability to work on projects with minimum supervision while adding value to cross-functional teams
- Provide the appropriate user and technical documentation.
- Assist with sales opportunities by building “proof of concept” solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting and/or MIS. MBA and/or CPA are a plus.
- Up to two years work or internship experience working in a finance department or a similar work role.
- Knowledge of financial management and reporting practices.
- Ability to travel.
- Self-starter with ability to work on projects with minimum supervision while adding value to cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership, problem solving and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel. Exposure to G/L, ERP, SQL and OLAP systems is a plus.
- Skills or exposure to Cognos or Oracle BI or Hyperion Performance Management tools are a plus.
