Title: Cognos TM1 Consultant
Overview: eCapital Advisors is currently seeking a senior IBM/Cognos TM1 practice leader/consultant in the Central Region (MN, WI, IA, MO, TX, IL). Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 4-5 years hands on experience working with IBM/Cognos Financial Performance Management (FPM) tools, specifically IBM/Cognos TM1 or Applix TM1. Overall experience should be a minimum of 5-10 years of progressive successful accomplishments for their employer and their clients. Responsibilities: Candidates must have excellent business consulting experience and a strong balance between business, technical and project management techniques. They will be responsible for business development effort and building our internal IBM/Cognos TM1 knowledge. They must also demonstrate the ability to implement application solutions including:
- Managing business development opportunities
- Leading requirements and design sessions
- Gathering and analyzing business requirements
- Participating in determining standards and best practices
- Managing with an implementation team (both internal and external)
- Transferring knowledge to the clients
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with IBM Cognos TM1 (Applix) tools including IBM Cognos TM1 Web and IBM Cognos TM1 Executive Viewer.
- A minimum of 5-10 years experience in the Finance/Accounting area.
- Five (5) years minimum experience implementing IBM Cognos TM1.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience is required, preferably in the Finance or Accounting areas.
- Ability to travel within our client region is required.
Additional Desired Skills Include:
- Software consulting experience a plus.
- Experience in full life-cycle of project development including Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Rollout, Implementation, and Training.
- Cognos TM1 product certification a strong plus.
- Experience with Cognos Enterprise Planning a plus.
- Cognos Business Intelligence tool experience a plus.
- Ability to foster client relationships and working relationships with peers.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work on projects with minimum supervision while adding value to cross-functional teams.
